Anora

Anora is a captivating film exploring identity, belonging, and complex human relationships.

Fresh off five Oscar wins, inluding best picture and best lead actress, the independent film peformed exceedly well when release theatrically.

The film centers on a young woman from Brooklyn, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled. Directed by a Sean Baker, who wrote and directed the film, it follows Anora, played brilliantly by Mikey Madison, on an emotional journey, capturing Anora's vulnerability and strength.

Anora is still showing in a select group of theaters, and is now available via video-on-demand platforms like Apple TV, Xfinity, Prime Video, Google Play among others.
